This is the first in a series of Experiments in photography features. For the second installment, read the Jan. 21 article, Experiments in photography.
When I was younger, my parents often found me snapping pictures of flowers with a cheap, disposable Kodak camera. To ease boredom, I set up all of my stuffed animals and held a “photo shoot” for them.
Although my beanie babies were quite good at holding the same pose for long periods of time, I have moved on from my previous methods of photography.
Less than a year ago, my parents gave me a camera capable of taking high quality pictures. With it, I take many nature pictures, including close-up shots of flowers. In addition, I plan photo-shoots with my friends Madison Dooley, ’11, and Leeza Raney, ’11, who volunteer as models (and are featured in this slideshow).
I have always been passionate about taking pictures; whether I am snapping casual photos with my friends, or taking more sophisticated pictures of “models” (a.k.a: my friends who volunteer), I always enjoy it.
