Get to Know: Sarah Schoneman

This installment is the third in the “Get to Know” series, a feature which aims to help students learn more about their classmates and teachers. A new installment will be posted every other Thursday.

In this edition of “Get to Know,” staff writer Emily Shakeshaft, ’14, interviews junior Sarah Schoneman.

Shakeshaft: What is your biggest pet peeve?

Schoneman: When someone is not thankful for what they have, even though it happens to me sometimes too.

Shakeshaft: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Schoneman: Someone that makes a difference, as does anyone; I do not only want to serve myself.

Shakeshaft: What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?

Schoneman: Bacon with butterscotch ice cream — and I actually liked it!

Shakeshaft: Do you have any interesting hobbies?

Schoneman: I enjoy sewing, drawing, painting and singing when I am not busy; these things help me be at ease.

Shakeshaft: Do you prefer dogs or cats?

Schoneman: Dogs, even though they can be a mess sometimes, because they give you great attention and love.

Shakeshaft: What is your favorite food?

Schoneman: Salad, because you can put many different toppings on it to make it taste good, and it still is fresh and healthy.

Shakeshaft: What is the hardest thing you have ever done?

Schoneman: A ropes course up at Hume [Lake] was the hardest thing, because I am afraid of heights.

Shakeshaft: What would you do with a free afternoon?

Schoneman: If I could drive, I would take a friend or two to the mall or to the movies and hang out.

Shakeshaft: What is the meaning of life to you?

Schoneman: To make a difference in people’s lives, to do good for the world and those who need help.

Check back on March 3 to learn more about sophomore Kevin Thao. For the previous installment, read the Feb. 3 article, Get to Know: Stephen Grimes.
