For an assignment in the video productions class, students were required to film and edit a chase video.
In their project, “The Salesman,” junior Zed Fries and freshman Roy Wolley incorporated different types of chases, such as green screen and old-time, which distinguished theirs from other students’ videos.
According to adviser Scott Callisch, the objective of the assignment was to help students learn new techniques. They were supposed to make a chase video that remains tense and high-energy throughout.
Rather than lose the audience’s attention with dull cinematography, the students were instructed to include only a few scenes containing the two actors involved in the chase and to frequently change the point of view.
