At the recommendation of a friend, my father, brother and I gladly decided to try this eatery because of our interest in Italian food. I love Italian food — especially homemade — because of the different spices and sauces used in creating a variety of plates with one simple recipe.
The restaurant was previously founded in Los Gatos, but was sold in 2001 by the Martin family — the current owner of Guiseppe Gallos — causing the entire household to migrate to Las Vegas, NV, for investments. Recently, the Martins decided to reopen the family business in Clovis to serve the city authentic Italian cuisine.
Since 1896, homemade recipes have been passed down from generation to generation, allowing Guiseppe Gallos’s food to taste like authentic Italian food without an individual having to leave the country.
The restaurant’s goal is to honor the Gallo family by creating Italian food from scratch.
When I first walked into the restaurant, I was amazed by the dim lighting and traditional coffee colors that blended well with the Italian atmosphere. Playing in the background was native Italian music. The walls were decorated with hanging pictures of native decedents of their early family and others who seemed to be well-known.
After five minutes of waiting, warm Parisian bread was brought to the table accompanied by olive oil with saut
