This year, picture day is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 25 at 8 a.m. in the Ground Zero Cafe. Milne Photography will be taking pictures of students 7-11 grade for school uses such as identification cards and yearbooks.
Students must select a photo package and bring their order form with payment on picture day.
While many dread the preparation and stress over picture day, some students embrace the opportunity to show off their latest fashion choices.
“I think picture day is a great day because you get to see everyone dressed up all nice and pretty,? Theresa Perez, ’13, said. “It’s also time spent out of class which I like because I find class to be boring sometimes.”
However, other students show apathy toward this opportunity.
“I don’t like it because I have to dress up nice; I don?t like dressing up nice,” Cooper Belmont, ’12, said. “Being a veteran of picture day, where everyone dresses up spiffy, it just becomes uncomfortable. Plus, I don?t like posed pictures, I?m more of a candid picture guy.”
For Milne Photography, the day is described at nothing less than eventful.
“I love picture day,” Tom Milne said. “It’s a day full of a range of feelings such as excitement, emotion and exhilaration.”
