Recently, a plethora of cars filled the Fresno Convention Center, showcasing new designs of economical and high end cars, Nov. 18-20. Over 20 domestic and import manufacturers displayed their cars for in the 8th annual Central California Auto Show, which was sponsored by Motor Trend. Motor Trend puts on this car show every year for the general public to get a feel for new technology and cars. This show promotes various car companies in order to help increases sales and boost the economy.
Concept cars, new hybrids, high-end and exotic vehicles filled the 133,500 sq. ft. convention center, attracting countless people from Fresno and the surrounding counties. With displays in the Expo Hall and Valdez Hall, the public was allowed to inspect and sit in the new cars, which included models from Lexus, Acura, Cadillac, Ford, Toyota and many others.
With a special thanks to an auto collector, Motor Trend featured a new Audi R8 and three Ferrari’s which has the accumulated price tag of over $1,000,000. A one-of-a-kind Jaguar XKR-S — with a price tag of a fully-furnished home — was also on display.
Despite gas prices reaching over $3.50 a gallon, individuals still continue to purchase high-performance sports cars like the 2012 Chevrolet Camero or the 2012 Mustang. Surprisingly, many viewers preferred the 2012 Cadillac coupe with power and fuel efficiency that come together in the 318 HP 3.6L V6 engine, which boasts a price tag of only $38,715.
Motor Tend with also be hosting their 9th annual Central Valley Car Show in the fall of 2012. In addition, the Tower District will be holding their annual Tower Classic Car Show, featuring many antique and restored automobiles, April 2012.
