Not only does the home ec class learn to cook food for the dinner table, they can now feed an entire army. This 10-foot burrito was created on campus and fed countless teachers and students on Nov. 26.
The fifth annual burrito-making event brought joy to all who got a chance to sample this tasty treat.
“I enjoy offering the ?Gran Burrito’ experience to my home ec students because it is such a fun project,” Sharon Scharf, home economics teacher, said. “This experience shows students they can produce a seemingly impossible creation, with merely a little team work–and it tastes good too.”
For two periods, students who normally do not see the inside of a kitchen “kept popping in” Scharf said to taste test the burrito.
