9/22-10/10 upcoming events

In the hopes of better communication, the athletic department will offer a short sports news brief every three to four weeks called Sports Center. We hope to publish dates, times and locations of upcoming contests as well as highlight crucial events that our parents, supporters and students might wish to attend.

FC is proud to introduce our new Co-Athletic Director and P.E. teacher, Jonathan Penberthy. Penberthy will be leading our department alongside Mick Fuller.

The fall schedule kicks off with Grandparents Day, Friday, Oct. 3. However, football is on their bye week and will not have a game that day. The FC community is encouraged to attend this event as over 500 grandparents and/or guardians visit classrooms with their students and eat lunch together. The next Eagle football home game is against Kings Christian, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m.

Football and homecoming go hand in hand. Be sure to put Friday, Oct. 31 on your calendar. The Eagle football team will be taking on Northwest Christian High School. Please plan on eating dinner on campus with friends and alumni before the game and watch the high school students build and later present their floats.

The volleyball team will be taking on Liberty High School on Sept. 23. The JV game starts at 5 p.m and varsity at 6 p.m.. Then the Lady Eagles go on the road for four games. They are home again on Oct. 9 vs Fowler–JV at 5 and varsity at 6 p.m.

Girls tennis is on the road until Oct. 7. Come out and cheer on the Lady Eagles as they face Fowler High on the FC tennis courts at 4 p.m.

As a reminder, all high school students must have their sports physicals completed before they will be allowed to practice. Athletes must also complete an athletic packet.

Athletes will receive their uniforms at practice from their coach within the first few weeks of practice.
