Dear Editor:

I just finished an hour dedicated to reading our school electronic newspaper. I continue to marvel at the scope of the reporting, the quality of the photos, the creativity of the videos, and the diversity of our school population brought to life each week.

This “paper” is an incredible testament to the determined, “blue-collar” work ethic of the committed few who produce a decidedly white collar product.

But beyond that, I was struck with the talent that the Feather Editor exhibits in each and every piece she writes. Op-Ed, human interest, current events, artistic critique … each submission is deep with detail, carefully crafted, and intensely interesting. And on equal footing, she demonstrates leadership skills with her crew and on stage with the worship band.

I admire Mary for her talent, but appreciate her for her heart, too. We are fortunate to have Mary Hierholzer contributing to the life of this campus and the lives of her fellow classmates.
