After a successful win against the Riverdale Cowgirls, the Eagles will play their final home game against Minarets High School, Oct. 25, for Eagle Senior Night.

Three seniors, Bri Graff, Kristen Rosenthal and Alexis Ellis will be recognized for their dedication and hard work over the years, starting at 5:30 p.m.

Ellis says that although she is disappointed that her high school volleyball career is almost coming to an end, she is looking forward to Senior Night.

“Senior Night is going to be bittersweet for me,” Ellis said. “It has not really hit me yet that this is going to be my last home game. I am kind of sad about my high school volleyball journey being almost over. Because I have been playing for so long and it is going to be weird not going to practice everyday anymore. But I am excited for it, because my senior year is becoming more real and everything is happening so fast.”

According to Rosenthal, she enjoyed playing with her teammates, Graff and Ellis. She is thankful for the friendship that she gained from volleyball.

“I am very excited for Senior Night,” Rosenthal said. “I have been playing with Bri and Alexis for a long time, so it is a huge honor to get recognition along with my hard working players. I am so thankful that I had an opportunity to play with them and get to know them deeper through volleyball.”

Rosenthal says that support from the FC student body is very helpful for the team.

“Everyone should come to our Senior Night,” Rosenthal said. “It really helps us when the crowd is cheering us on. We prepared very hard for this game, so it would be great if people came out and supported us.”

Graff says that volleyball has been a crucial part of high school for her. Although she is sad that she won’t be playing with her teammates anymore, she is looking forward to rest of the season.

“I played volleyball all four years of high school,” Graff said. “Every single year was a blast. I learned something new each year and it has been a memorable experience. It saddens me to think that I won’t be able to play with my teammates next year but this year was great and I am going to enjoy the rest of the year and Senior Night.”

According to first year varsity player Olivia Quebe, she learned valuable lessons from the senior players.

“I am really sad that all the seniors are going to be gone,” Quebe said. “I learned so much from them and they are such great role models. They helped the younger girls so much and I really appreciate their leadership abilities.”
