To welcome the start of the new school year, Fresno Christian Schools is hosting Back To School Night (BTSN), Aug. 19-20. Parents are invited to come and experience what it is to go through their child’s schedule. Each teacher will present their class to the parents and explain what the duration of the year will consist of.
There will be two separate nights for back to school. The high school and junior high BTSN will be held Monday, Aug. 19 while the elementary will be the following day, Tuesday, Aug. 20. High school and junior high will convene at 7 p.m. in the FCS gym. However seventh grade will meet previous to that at 6:20 p.m. in room 629 to discuss the events for middle school. The eighth grade will meet at the same time in room 628 to discuss the year’s plans.
Vicky Belmont, the high school and junior high secretary, encourages all parents to come out and enjoy the evening here at the school.
“I think it is a good opportunity for parents to come and receive information about the school and their child’s school year,” Belmont said. “The parents get to meet the teachers, go to the classrooms and experience campus life.”
Home economics and art teacher, Sharon Scharf looks forward to BTSN because she is able to share important information with the parents.
“We have about ten minutes to explain what the class will consist of, and I try to introduce myself to the parents to prepare them for what they can expect the year to look like,” Scharf said. “I enjoy meeting the parents and let them know what we will be doing over the year.”
