While some believe that the pink whistles the referees used during the boys’ basket ball game, Feb. 12, were festive for Valentine’s Day, ref George Gonzalez revealed the true purpose for the colorful noise maker.
Along with the other two men refereeing the game, Gonzalez sported the pink whistle in order to support the fight against breast cancer.
