After he received a Best of Show award for his scratchboard of a cowboy, senior John Carreon submitted the artwork to The Big Fresno Fair high school art exhibit.
The judges at the fair recognized the scratchboard with a first place award, Oct. 1.
“I’m excited because the cowboy scratchboard took a while, and it’s nice to get recognition for my art,” Carreon said.
