The Choral program will be enjoying a music filled trip to Hawaii on March 23-28. Soon upon returning, Ensemble will be heading to the studio to perform live for KVPR, Valley Public Radio (89.3 fm) on March 31, at 4:06 P.M.
In a recent attempt to showcase local art programs, KVPR contacted Marc Ferguson hoping that his Ensemble would sing.
“It is going to take a lot of work to prepare for this sort of performance,” Ferguson said, “but I’m confident that it will go marvelously as long as everyone gives their all.”
Ensemble will be learning the importance of fine tuning and perfecting their pieces from this radio performance.
“Singing on live radio is very difficult because every sound that’s made gets picked up by the microphones,” Ferguson said. “It’s a lot of pressure, but Ensemble is ready. They’re going to do great.”
Since the beginning of the semester, the group has been hard at work on an impressing list of songs.
“I think singing is going to go very well.” Sunny Petrie, ’06, said. “We have been working so hard for months now on our music, so I’m glad people will get the opportunity to hear it.”
To hear Ensemble’s performance live, tune into KVPR on March 31 at 4:06 P.M.
