Last year, Oct. 07, 2014, the first National News Engagement Day was founded by the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC). The goal of the event was to help young generation to recognize the importance of the news and also learn why is the news important to them.
A year later, the 2nd annual event is also sponsored by the AEJMC and the goal for this year is to have all 50 states and the most countries around the world to participate in the activities.
