Every year for freshman Tyler Laird’s, center, birthday, a special cake is constructed for him by a family friend. In past years, cakes such as a phoenix and a dragon have been created; but for this birthday, Laird expressed a desire for a reptile-inspired cake.
Laird’s father Ross, far right, transported the cobra cake to his son’s fourth period English I Honors class, Oct 26. Students quickly began to gather around the dessert, and pieces were cut up and distributed evenly.
