1 win, 1 shave

Every year during the soccer season, the varsity boys’ soccer coach, Matt Markarian, middle, places a bet with his team before the annual Garces Tournament.

This year, Markarian said that if the team won one game on the first day of the tournament, he would shave his head. However, if they lost any games on the first day of the tournament, some of the players would have to shave their heads instead.

During the first chapel of second semester, senior Andrew Evans, left, and junior Austin Rurik assist Markarian in shaving his head after losing the bet, Jan. 13. The boys’ soccer team went 3-0 in the tournament and earned second place overall in the Bronze Division.
