With only three weeks left until the anticipated Night of the Stars event, boys are pressured to think of creative ways to ask a girl to be their date in an attempt to win a free pair of tickets.
Senior Danny Ibarra sent Cassidy Hutchins, ’11, left, on a journey from her seventh period Bible class in order to ask her to formal, Jan. 31.
To start, senior Tim DeGroot rolled a soccer ball down the hallway leading Hutchins to her second destination. From the high school office, senior Alex Campama instructed Hutchins to follow a remote control car to the bottom of the stairwell, where junior Josh Hopper was waiting with a remote control helicopter.
The helicopter led Hutchins up the stairs to where Ibarra stood in front of balloons spelling out “NOTS,” with the helicopter in his hand and a smile on his face. After he asked, Hutchins happily accepted Ibarra’s offer.
