Senior Danny Ibarra, right, organized an elaborate plan to ask senior Cassidy Hutchins to Night of the Stars (NOTS) by sending her on a journey through the hallway after being called out of her seventh period Bible class, Jan. 31.

Hutchins was supposed to follow a rolling soccer ball down the hallway to the front of the high school office. There, senior Alex Campama instructed her to follow the remote control car which he was in charge of driving. The car led her to the bottom of the stairwell, where junior Josh Hopper was waiting with a remote control helicopter.

The helicopter led her up the stairs to where Ibarra was waiting with three-foot tall silver mylar balloons spelling out “NOTS.”

Hutchins said she was completely surprised and appreciated the effort Ibarra put into asking her to formal; she happily accepted his offer.
