Apart from doing normal watercolor painting projects, Sharon Scharf’s art class works on burning designs on gourds, April 26. This subject is called gourd pyrography where the students in the class learn to wash and clean the gourds before they can begin designing.
Scharf shows her class examples of designs they can use to burn onto their gourd.
