After making much preparation, Sharon Scharf’s art class begins burning designs onto their gourds, May 2. Sophomore Kristen Rosenthal poses for a quick picture to show the camera her process made of designing a face onto the gourd.
For the past couple of weeks, students washed their gourds after Scharf planted, harvested and dried them in her garden.
