Weeks before homecoming, each grade assembles to create a float based on the theme of the entire week, Oct. 14. On homecoming night, the floats are displayed during halftime to the spectators.
The sophomore class of ’14 chose the board game Monopoly to create on their float. Putting aside the traditional names on the board, the students “Fresno Christianized” the pieces by naming each after teachers and classes known by the students.
Math teacher, Jane Gillespie, left, and social science teacher, Jordana Siebert pose with their matching game pieces. Monopoly, received second place in the float competition, losing by only 10 points to the senior class.
