The FC Kid’s Karnival produced enthusiasm among children of all ages. Melinda Davis’ Sept. 29 online article, “Kid’s Karnival entices with games and prizes,” grabbed my attention.

I loved the quotes from high school students. The piece captured the purpose of the Kid’s Karnival: to promote school spirit, excite elementary children about Homecoming and raise funds for each high school class.

I appreciated the quotes from high school students, but additional quotes from the children themselves would have added to the article.

I heard one little girl at the fishing booth say proudly, “Look at all my candy!” Another said, “My dad said I can’t keep the fish.” These would have added to the happy atmosphere.

I enjoyed reading this article and hope to see more stories like this one.
