Dear editor,
“”Sounds of buzzing echo early in the morning as electric saws slice through wood.”” The Oct. 6 online article, “”Carpentry takes creative form,”” by Benjamin Dang captures much of the essence of carpentry as he trys to employ the five senses of the reader.
After working with wood for a couple years, I agreed with the feature. The texture and sounds of the tools in carpentry are helpful to the building process, and his description was interesting. I also appreciated the student quotes which pull the reader into the article.
I would have liked to see a little more information on the tools the class uses and more information on how to build a good piece of furniture.
