Dear editor,
It has been a while since I have put on pads to go out onto the football field, but I do still remember what it is like. Jesse Madsen was, and apparently still is, a leader on the field. In his Oct. 11 online article, “To quit or not to quit,” he spoke about how he has thought about quitting.
I remember what it was like to toil through an entire week of football to play on Friday; it made all of the pain and hardships worthwhile. The morale he says is low, but I am glad to see that Jesse is still leading by example. I have great respect for him for taking losses and hard times by the hair and making the best of it.
