In order to preserve the Shaver Dam for future years, Shaver Lake has been drained, Jan. 20. At the bottom lays buildings and remnants left from the old dam of the 1920s.
At the bottom, old smoke stacks and water wheels are beginning to rust. The lake will be refilled in March.
