The players introduced each other to the other team and to the referees. The referees encouraged the captains to play clean basketball, respecting each other and the game.

One of the referees also asked if they had any song suggestions for the jazz band who were setting up to play. The group played a variety of 40s tunes and their set-list from their last competition, the Mid-Valley Jazz Festival. The varsity boys basketball team will host the Caruthers Blue Raiders Fri., Feb. 10.
