FCS Cheerleading tryouts will be held in the FC gym Saturday, April 23.

Any JH or HS girls interested in trying out for the 2016-17 team can go to one of the open gyms to get more information on cheer and learn the tryout routine.

The open gyms will be April 18, 19, 21 and the 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the FC gym.

Current Varsity cheerleader Cayla Rivas shares her passion for the sport, “I love that cheerleading is like a sisterhood. You have a whole team of girls encouraging you throughout the year. My favorite part of cheer is pushing myself to learn new things.”

Both JH and HS team are coached by Hope Villines.

Villines shares her excitement for the upcoming season, “I am looking forward for the next cheer season. I have many exciting things planned for both teams. I can not wait to see how far they will go this year.”
