Away from Fresno

Students all over the community who attend Peoples Church have the opportunity to go out to Biola and help the children of that community through the spring break week of Breakaway.

All of the high School and college students began the week journey in worship led by A Current Affair, Sunday night, April 1. As well as earlier getting checked in a receiving their Breakaway water bottle, in preparation for the week ahead.

Breakaway is when they stay in tents on campus at night, but during the day are a part of a five day, labor intensive missions trip. The trip focuses on helping IPC (Iglesia Peoples Church) and their partner church in Biola, Biola Congregational Church.

It is similar to a VBS (Vaction Bible School) program for the children in the morning and then in that afternoon they will be involving themselves in service projects around the community.

Though Breakaway is one of the larger groups, many churches during the week of spring break lead missions trips to other places such as Parlier, Orosi, and Mexico.
