The 4×1 team, sophomores Cayla Rivas, Maicy Luginbill and seniors Emmaline Khron and Brittany Bender, qualify in the WSL championship. The girls came in first out of five schools with a time of 53.08 sec.

Bender shares her excitement about qualifying.

“I am so proud of these girls,” said Bender. ” They work so hard every day at practice and kill it at every meet. I can’t wait to see how far we go.”

The girls are advancing to the All Sierra Championship at Fowler HS, 3:30 p.m., May 4.
