At the Fellowship Night, put together by the New Family Partnership (NFP), many new students came to get more informed and aquatinted with other students, Sept. 13. The Fellowship Night was located at John’s Incredible Pizza like it has been in previous years.
This is third annual Fellowship Night that the NFP has set up for new FC families. New FC families were assigned to “host families” that volunteered for the event. These families answered questions that the new families had and told them information that they needed to know while attending FC.
Sophomore Jariah Harris enjoyed her time spent at the dinner; meeting new people and eating great food. She appreciated the venue of the dinner thinking it was a great place for the new families and host families to convene.
“John’s Incredible was a great place to hold the event,” Harris said. “It’s nice that the venue was also geared towards kids; including games and rides. My host family wasn’t able to make it but I still met some other current families of FC who were very friendly.”
The goal of Fellowship Night is to make new FC families feel welcome at the school so the school can have a closer environment. Their were a total of 40 to 50 more people that attended the Fellowship Night this year than the last two years.
