With a set closely resembling a M*A*S*H* unit, the sophomores convinved the judges their Homecoming float deserved second place. The seniors were relegated to third but could still claim they were better than the freshman float who ended up last during Homecoming on Nov. 2 at Clark Stadium.
Students began setting up their floats by 4:30 p.m. and were well underway by the junior varsity football game. Most student help arrived by 5:30 and the floats were presented at half time during the Strathmore football game. The marching band and the queen/princess pageant compeition also highlighted the evening.
While the sophomores took second place, the juniors had to accept the fact that they could only brag about beating the freshman this year who ended up last in the event.
