Junior Ryan Stewart is a participant in the annual Civil War Revisited reenactment at Kearney Park, Oct. 26.
People in the community are able to observe and interact with the characters who are dressed up and are taking on a figure from the past. These events will take place on Oct. 27 starting at 11 a.m. and on Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. The admission for adults is $10 and for children it is $5.
Camp Night will also occur on Oct. 27 from 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Families and friends will be able eat dinner while experiencing an authentic vaudeville show and a night artillery demonstration.
For history teacher, Joradana Siebert’s U.S. history class, students are required to attend the reenactment and interview a character in order to receive extra credit.
