In honor of a child who died, the Christmas Tree Lane (CTL) tradition began in 1920 with the decoration of one tree, Dec. 5. Each year the tradition has continued adding more decorations to the community.
The observance has been continued each year, except during 1941 and 1973 when it was stopped due to war restrictions and an energy crisis. The lane is open from 6-11 p.m and the second walk is scheduled for Dec. 11. The lights will be lit through Dec. 25.
