During the half day, the percussion class spent time outside practicing their cadences and other music, conducted by Drum Major Eric Cowin, Jan. 30.
The percussion group combines with the high school band, directed by Michael Ogdon, along with playing their own repertoire as a separate group. Right now they are practicing for their various competions during the spring for Heritage San Diego.
