Senior trip promises year finale

After four years of endless homework and tests, the senior class of ?05 will be treated to an end of the year trip in Los Angeles. The trip will run from May 20-22.

?The senior trip is what I?ve waited for all year,? Johanna Iest said. ?I can?t wait to get out of town and just have fun with all my friends.?

The seniors will leave Fresno in the early morning on May 20 and will arrive in Santa Monica just in time for lunch.

?I?m looking forward to the Santa Monica beach the most,? Nick Ramon said. ?The beach is one of my favorite spots; there?s just nothing like it.?

Among other things, the class will be treated to a screening of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy at the famous Hollywood El Capitan Theater.

?Los Angeles has some historic sites,? Scott Falk, Bible teacher, said. ?Visiting Hollywood and the famous El Capitan Theater will allow the kids to see some of the classic spots.?

After a cozy night at the Embassy Suites in Irvine, the students will wake up late to attend a Dodgers game at the famous Dodger stadium. The Dodgers will play their rivals, the Los Angeles Angels.

?I can?t wait to see the Dodgers play,? Molly Sargent, English teacher, said. ?I have never seen them win when I?ve seen them in person. I?m hoping this will be a first.?

Faculty dissention seems imminent due to team favoritism.

?I hate the Dodgers,? Falk said. ?I?ll pay good money to see the Angels crush them on our trip. It should be a good game.?

After the match-up, the class will head to the Irvine Spectrum for an upscale dinner. The seniors will then arrive at Huntington Beach for a post-dinner bonfire.

?The bonfire should be nice,? Carson Belmont said. ?I?ll bet it will be extremely relaxing and a nice time for us to talk to each other.?

On the final day, the students will leave for Disneyland and Disneyland California Adventures.

?I?ve never been to Disneyland California Adventures,? Falk said. ?I?m looking forward to the special rides and attractions.?

After the initial $400 cost, administration encourages the seniors to take along $100-$200 for spending money and extra food.

The seniors will depart from Fresno Christian at 7:30 A.M on May 20 and will return at
2 A.M. on May 22.
