Caution: Fog sweeps the valley

A huge Tule fog is settling in the Central Valley, and visibility is going down.

Be careful when you are driving in the fog, because some people might not be paying any attention. Don’t forget to turn on your lights and leave 15 to 30 minutes early so you aren’t late to your destination.

When you are driving in the fog you should drive 10-15 mph below the speed limit to avoid big accidents.

Tule fog is the type of fog that we in the Central Valley see in the rainy months. Tule fog is a thick ground fog that likes to settle in our Valley.

Tule fog is the leading cause of weather related death’s in California, it is also dangerous for your health. The smog and smoke get trapped inside the fog causing the air quality to drop.
