WEEKLY CAMPUS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR Oct. 16 – 21

The Feather brings its readers weekly FC campus announcements published the first day of each week. This week coverage is from Oct. 16 – 21, 2017.

As the sports schedule gets underway, consider supporting JH and HS athletes at our home games. The week’s athletic events are listed in the weekly announcements below.

Monday

Tuesday

HS volleyball vs Parlier HS at 4:30 p.m. for JV and 5:30 p.m. for Varsity.

Wednesday

Thursday

HS volleyball vs Minarets HS at 4:30 p.m. for JV and 5:30 p.m. for varsity (SENIOR NIGHT)

Friday

HS football vs Laton HS at 7 p.m.

Brother to Brother

Older and younger brothers will go to their first off campus lunch, Oct. 17.

Seniors

Fresno State Application Workshop for seniors at 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the JJ room, Oct. 16.

Sophomores

English teacher Andrea Donaghue will take the sophomore class to the Museum of Tolerance to learn to about the Holocaust, Oct. 20.

Football game

During this Friday’s football game pink football shirt will be sold to everyone for $10. All of the money will be donated to the Art of Life Cancer Foundation.

Civil War Reenactment 

Students who take U.S. history will have the opportunity to get extra credits by attending this event, Oct. 21.

Fulton Street Party

The City of Fresno will be reopening the Fulton Street, students are encouraged to go to this street party from 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. Oct. 21. The area will now be called Fulton District.

STEM Club

STEM club meets 3:10-4:15 p.m. in room 622, Oct. 18.

Choir

Concert Choir and ensemble will be going to the FPU Festival all day at North Fresno Church, Oct. 19.

Music Muffins are sold every Wednesday before school in the quad area next to Building 6. Muffin and juice for $2. Proceeds to the FC choir.
