Kamryn Schultz, ’19, Keely Friesen, ’23, and Maddie Foster, ’23, bond over lunch, Nov. 7. This is the first off campus Sister to Sister lunch of the year.

This program gives opportunities to share and connect high school girls who become ‘big sisters’ to junior high students. The sisters meet together once or twice each month.

Students are allowed to walk over to nearby fast food restaurants such as Subway, Burger King and Wendy’s.

First year younger sister Annalee Griffith, ’23,  shares her hopes for the Sister to Sister program.

“I joined Sister to Sister because I wanted a mentor I can relate to,” Griffith said. ” I love the program because I feel like I can connect and feel comfortable with my older sister. It makes me feel confident.”

Junior, Macie Thompson expresses her joy in pouring into her new sister.

“I like Sister to Sister because I get to speak God into young girls,” Thompson said.” I like that I can mentor them in a way that I might not have been able to before. I love that I get to share with them the excitement of high school.”

The next meeting will be an on campus meeting, Nov. 17. For more information on Sister to Sister, contact Katie Reneau.
