Sophomore English 10 honor students receive their Christmas vacation assignments, Nov. 29. The students are required to complete this assignment by the time they come back from break, Jan. 8.

Sophomore honor student, Claire Palsgaard, shares her opinion on the assignment.  

“I’m happy that we got the winter assignment so early, because now I can prepare and work on it.” Palsgaard said. ” It’s going to be tedious, but I’m pretty confident that I’ll be able to get it done by the time that it’s due.”

This year’s assignment is to read Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe, in addition to writing a comprehensive paper. The students are expected to write an essay that conveys their understanding of the book, which includes answering the questions given on their rubric sheet.
