Senior Jenna Bynum is one of the captains on this year’s high school girl’s soccer team, Dec. 13. As soccer’s preseason comes to an end, high school girls’ and boys’ soccer make plans to travel to the annual Garces Holiday Soccer Festival in Bakersfield.

Both teams plan to leave on Friday at 11:00 a.m., in order to get to their games on time. Planning ahead, coaches assigned players an assortment of items to bring in order to have a picnic lunch on the way.

The tournament takes place Friday through Saturday. Both teams play a total of three games, one on Friday, and two on Saturday.

Dinner on Friday includes a trip to John’s Incredible Pizza, exciting many players on both teams.To add to the festivities, both teams participate in a gift exchange after dinner on Friday.

The teams plan to arrive back at FCS at around 7:30 p.m. Their next games are scheduled on Jan. 5 at Coast Union High School.
