Schneider Electric hosts the 17th annual 9/11 memorial service and honors former CEO of Pelco, David McDonald, who founded the Clovis 9/11 memorial with the folded up flag, Sept. 11.

Hundreds of people attend the ceremony including, Central Valley Fire, police, sheriffs, military, and volunteer services in Clovis to reflect and remember the events of September 11, 2001. 

On this tragic day, 2,996 lives were lost from the attacks. Five wreaths stand in front of the American flag, symbolizing people who perished that day; including civilians and all the first responder groups.

During the memorial service, the wreaths are brought on to a fire truck along with a parade of police motorcycles, horses, other fire trucks, military vehicles and a pipe band pass through the street past firemen, police and marine men during the service. 

Speaker and former NYC firefighter, Andy Isolano speaks for this year’s service and asks the crowd to take a moment of silence to listen to the clip of radio dispatch of that morning 17 years ago.
