Senior Amanda Grimmius leads Shadow Step during Tuesday worship chapel, Sept. 27. Grimmius has been apart of the worship team for 2 years.

Grimmius looks back and shares her best memories of being on worship team.

“I love leading the student body into God’s presence and encouraging them to worship Him,” Grimmius said. “My favorite part of worship team is going through our book study together.”

Amanda shares her most memorable moment from her high school so far.

“My best memory of high school is leading worship at the end of the year in the all-school chapel last year,” said Grimmius.”It was so cool to see the entire student body along with parents and teachers, praise God together. That’s not an opportunity that comes along every day, and I really enjoyed that time.”

Grimmius gives advice she would have wanted to hear from an older student as a freshman.

“My advice for younger students would be to get involved. High school will only be as fun and exciting as you choose to make it. So, getting involved and being excited about school events and things like that really add to the experience,” Grimmius said. “Always have an open mind and be willing to participate, even if you think it might be embarrassing. Either way, it’s going to make for some great stories later on.”

Grimmius has been involved with cheerleading since kindergarten, and apart of the varsity cheer team for 4 years.

Grimmius has always loved kids and plans to apply to the Fresno State Smittcamp Honors program and major in nursing, focusing on pediatrics in college.
