With the school year less than only a month old, Calvin Crest is in sight for the ?07 class for a weekend of bonding and worship on Sept. 9-10.
?The senior trip is a time for seniors to come together in one place,? Molly Sargent, dean of women, said, ?to make the last year of high school special.?
The retreat includes team activities such as challenges, obstacles and initiatives to encourage class bonding. The last night consists of worship and praise, followed by a midnight walk through the woods.
?The purpose of the retreat is to bond together as a class and to get away for the weekend,? Scott Falk, campus pastor, said. ?It?s highly relational.?
Every year, the Saturday night activity attracts students. The seniors create skits about teachers and campus life.
?I always heard stories about how fun the skits are,? Jessica Berg, ?07, said. ?I can?t wait to bond as a class while having fun.?
Some students look forward to spending time with alumni counselors in addition to peers.
?I?m excited to spend bonding time with just seniors,? Jeremy Ramos, ?07 said. ?And I’m glad Jon Steele (’03 graduate) is going to be a counselor.?
As tradition the seniors will eat pizza together before heading home on Sept. 10. The class is expected to arrive back at campus at approximately 6:15 PM.

This is the best sports photo of the year so far and might end being the best of the school year.
