Dear Editor:
I believe that incoming freshmen find it difficult to immediately adjust to high school. This was apparent in Kristina Palmer’s Sept. 29 article, “Freshmen adapt, aspirations change”.
I felt that in her article Palmer showed an understanding and sympathy for the new 9th graders. I agree that the beginning of the freshman year proves to be tough for many.
The article recognized the importance of friends in these new surroundings. I wholeheartedly agree. In addition, the article reminded me of the difference between FCS and public schools. I enjoy participating in the numerous opportunities here at Fresno Christian.
With the words from a former 9th grader, Palmer exhibited a hope for a not-as-difficult future. Looking forward to that, I feel revitalized in my journey.
Palmer caught the essence of all freshmen struggles in her article. I applaud that, but I would like to read an updated article in the weeks to come to see how the freshmen feel after the first quarter, or hear the reflections of upperclassmen on the subject.

This year it’s not as bad as last year at practice when Garret (Markarian) kicked the ball and we had to head it. I hit it like 5 times in a row and my head was spinning. Nice picture though.
