Eagle Fest 2019

The second annual Eagle Fest brings the Fresno Christian community together to support school programs and students, Sept. 20.  On the heels of Grandparents Day, hundreds of FC families participated and help to raise over $6,000 for school campus clubs and sports.

With free admission, the event focuses on bringing together the school with a carnival-like atmosphere, food and activities. Food vendors and student-run stands were out raising money for their clubs, classes and businesses.

JV cheer, color guard, and band put on performances as entertainment for the night along with bounce houses and slides for kids to enjoy.

FCS alumna Christine Petersen, ‘95, oversees the planning of Eagle Fest. Petersen believes that Eagle Fest benefits the FCS community due to the fond memories that the event brings. She stresses the involvement of everyone coming together to support the school.

“Some of the greatest successes from this year’s Eagle Fest were the number of families and students who came out to enjoy the event,” Petersen said. “We had a larger turnout than the first year and in turn, raised more money for student programs.  The event raised over $6,000 which will be donated to on-campus programs such as drama, choir, band, sports and cheer.  Being able to showcase our student groups such as cheer and band through performances at the Eagle Fest were a highlight many families enjoyed.”

“My expectations for next year are to continue to grow the attendance levels and get even more families involved in the school-wide social event.  It is a great way to kick off the school year and I look forward to continuing the tradition.”
