The boys’ basketball team will host an open practice for parents of the varsity and junior varsity players on Feb. 7, from 4:30-6:30 P.M. This is an opportunity for parents to come and observe what takes place in practice each day.

Afterwards, the parents will be given a forum to share ideas and concerns with the coaching staff.

?The purpose of the open practice is present to our parents the fundamentals we are trying to teach to our players and give an explanation to what our coaching philosophy is,? head coach Chris Schultz said. ?While people only see what the final product is during the games, we want them to come and see what takes place each day in a daily practice.?

Parents are encouraged to attend and refreshments will be served.

?I think it is important to try and communicate with parents anyway that we can,? Schultz said. ?We want parents to participate in our program; this meeting gives them a wonderful opportunity to see what we are all about and what we are trying to accomplish.?
