Dear Editor:
I agree that part time jobs experienced in high school exceed their transient effects. Students state their opinions of working while attending school in Taylor Torrence?s Feb. 15 article, ?Job benefits exceed monetary compensation?.
As parents stop providing for their child?s impulses as a high school student, the reality of a part time job becomes inevitable. Torrence quotes students who manage to work and attend school. Such a task requires proper time management and responsibility. These skills learned at a young age further develop qualities needed to succeed in the future.
The advice given from the article motivates me to get a job. The opportunity to improve my responsibility skills, while gaining experience and money provides enough leverage for me to start job hunting.
