Dear editor:
Badminton is a great way to allow students to have fun at lunch. I agree with Corey Maxeyís Dec. 6 article, ìBadminton craze sweeps campus.î Badminton is an excellent way to bring students together while having fun.
I think that the tournament unites the student body because badminton is a sport that students do not regularly play. It also entertains the students watching. It also gives players something to look forward to during the day, apart from lunch.
However I disagree with the statement, ìbadminton takes a back seat to other sports.î Badminton is actually the second most popular sport in the world behind soccer.
I believe intramurals are a good way for friends to get together and enjoy an activity rather than just lounging during lunch.
