California Amusement Parks reopen

California+Amusement+Parks+reopen

In March 2020 Covid-19 brought many theme parks to a screeching halt with the hopes of quickly re-opening. More than a year later after thousands of lost jobs, furloughs, and the loss of social interaction. California’s most popular theme park, Disneyland, officially opens today, April 30.

As other amusement parks have slowly opened their gates this last month, many are left to wonder how new guidelines will affect their visit and how to secure a reservation.  California amusement parks currently open are Santa Cruz beach Boardwalk, Six Flags Magic Mountain and Disneyland. Great America plans to ope in May.

Disneyland

Open at 25% capacity.

In order to visit the park you must purchase a ticket and make a reservation at the same time. The reservation calendar is viewable on https://disneyland.disney.go.com with weekends filling up fast.

Right now the park is only open to California residents and you large groups are not permitted. It is necessary to follow the Covid-19 health guidelines regardless of the 25% capacity.

If you feel uncomfortable entering the parks, DownTown Disney is open for shopping and eating.
